Earthshack

Earthshack was recently designed and built by the current owners. With an 8.2 star rating, the home demonstrates the simplicity and effectiveness of passive solar design. There is no need for air conditioning; the home’s maximum internal summer temperature has been measured at 22.5 degrees. The coldest winter temperature, after days of no heating has been recorded at 16 degrees. The exterior walls are strawbale and the internal layout is open plan.

Progress photos of the build will be on display and the owner builders will be on site to answer questions.
